Fujitsu named a Leader in the 2019 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Data Centre Outsourcing and Hybrid Infrastructure Managed Services, Asia-Pacific

News facts:
  • 2019 Magic Quadrant for Data Centre Outsourcing and Hybrid Infrastructure Managed Services, Asia-Pacific evaluates the ability to execute and completeness of vision of service providers across the Asia-Pacific region.
  • Fujitsu continues to enable organisations in responding to and driving digital disruption – with major strategic focus on co-creating, developing and managing personalised multi-cloud ecosystems for enterprise customers.
Sydney, November 19, 2019 – Gartner has identified Fujitsu as a Leader in the 2019 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Data Centre Outsourcing and Hybrid Infrastructure Managed Services, Asia-Pacific.

According to analyst firm Gartner, “Leaders perform skilfully. They have a clear vision of the market’s direction and develop competencies to maintain their leadership. They shape the market, rather than follow it.”1 In its report, published July 24, 2019, Gartner states that future growth in data centre managed services will come from “the increasing demand of customers wishing to reduce their own data centre footprints, while leveraging hyperscale CSPs and providers’ own economies of scale, extensive capabilities and intelligent automation effects.”

Fujitsu aims to collaborate with customers and its network of partners to co-create personalised, multi-cloud and hybrid solutions to drive digital transformation. Thanks to the increasing maturity of cloud usage, Fujitsu’s enterprise customers that initially adopted cloud to increase their competitivity can now take the opportunity to disrupt industry sectors by taking the next step.

Fujitsu’s focus in the Oceania region is on hybrid IT infrastructure management combined with a vertical focus on health, finance, retail, transport and government. The company also possesses a strong understanding and experience of cloud, especially around cloud-native platforms. Fujitsu’s Multi-cloud and Hybrid IT portfolio enhances infrastructure, applications and services simultaneously, which let customers become highly-connected, intelligent and transformed. Fujitsu believes that its placement by Gartner as a Leader in the Magic Quadrant therefore validates its approach.

Providing significant benefits for customers through strengthened multi-cloud capabilities

Fujitsu has invested in AI, cloud and automation to further enhance its expertise across both legacy and state-of-the-art cloud services. This gives confidence to customers who are transforming mission-critical systems and provides them with flexibility and optimal choice for digital transformation projects, while also ensuring that customers can choose a ‘right cloud for the right use case’ model.

Additionally, Fujitsu is also combining design-thinking capabilities with consulting and advisory capabilities to provide a consultative-led approach to customer requirements. Building strong partnerships with providers such as Microsoft and Amazon Web Services (AWS), Fujitsu’s digital innovation team works closely with customer engagement leads and consultants to determine the best solution for challenges faced by customers. With the recent establishment of a Digital Transformation Centre in Australia, Fujitsu customers can leverage this opportunity when seeking transformations and innovation.

The key to a truly effective digital transformation is the ability to effectively manage multi-cloud ecosystems. An example of this is Fujitsu’s Multi-Cloud and Service Orchestration. Combining several contrasting services, this provides a streamlined solution capable of managing multiple platforms, suppliers and technologies to deliver enterprise-wide visibility of customers’ entire hybrid cloud estates.

Mike Foster, Chief Executive Officer, Fujitsu Australia and New Zealand, said, “Digitalisation is beginning to have more impact on organisations’ mission-critical systems, which presents far more risk and complexity for organisations’ moving into the next phase of digitalisation. To prepare for this, we’ve invested a great deal of effort to make sure that we have all the digital infrastructure components, the ecosystem of partners, and the unrivalled multi-cloud know-how that businesses need to succeed. Our approach is to combine our expert systems and process capabilities with leading technologies to collaborate with our customers, to co-create revolutionary solutions to real business challenges.”
