‘Reshaping ICT – Reshaping Business and Society’ technology and services roadshow showcases Fujitsu’s latest innovations for a ‘hyper connected world’

The Fujitsu World Tour 2014 technology and services roadshow is coming to Australia for the first time on Friday 18 July at the Sheraton on the Park in Sydney. With the theme of ‘Reshaping ICT - Reshaping Business and Society’ , it will showcase Fujitsu’s thought leadership and the latest trends in cloud, mobility and big data in the context of Fujitsu’s vision of the ‘Human Centric Intelligent Society’. The event is part of a multi-city tour that will cover 23 cities across 5 continents this year.

As well as featuring an array of thought leadership insights, the event will also include examples of world’s best practice presented by Fujitsu’s international customers, as well as one of the most comprehensive technology expos to reach our shores this year. With Intel, NetApp, Symantec, Cisco, Citrix and Rocket Software signed up as major sponsors the event is well supported by the industry. Other vendors participating in the event include Brocade and Microsoft.

The event will host a mix of international and local speakers, who will address the needs of Australian business, and technology leaders with thought leading discussions and insight. Keynote presenters include Chiseki Sagawa, Head of Fujitsu’s Global Software Centre, Dr Alex Bazin, who is responsible for Fujitsu’s global applications strategy as well as David Gentle, Fujitsu’s Director of Foresight – who is responsible for shaping the development of Fujitsu’s portfolio to ensure it continues to evolve with future industry developments. Fujitsu’s international and local customers will also feature on the agenda, sharing their experiences in implementing innovative solutions with best practice ICT. In line with the theme of the event, the conference content will focus on how organisations reshape the role of ICT within their business.

The Technology Expo at the event will feature some of the latest innovations from Fujitsu including the unique Haptic Sensory Tablet, which incorporates the ability to ‘feel’ the texture of an object shown on a touch screen. Other innovations to be displayed include a demonstration of SpatiOWL, which is a multi-layered geospatial processing engine that allows users to analyse movements and trends through time and space.
