Flexible, sustainable long-haul networking

The 1FINITY T900 liquid-cooled transponder delivers the highest long-haul transport performance at the lowest cost, in a future-ready platform that is simple to operate and maintain. The T900 is a compact, modular platform that offers new sustainability features to support service providers in reducing carbon footprint.

The system provides a total maximum capacity of 14.4T while consuming up to 70% less power than the previous generation of 800G blades and supporting over 2400 km reach. This 2RU compact, modular blade includes a field-replaceable Management Control Unit (MCU) for standalone or aggregator management, as well as sustainable thermal management using liquid cooling and a field-replaceable fan/pump unit.

Global communications service provider (CSP) Orange S.A. has completed a successful lab evaluation of the 1FINITY™ T900 Series Transponder. Evaluation of the 1FINITY T900 solution demonstrated outstanding performance at 800Gigabits per second (Gbps) wavelengths over long distance with low power consumption, enabling affordable and sustainable optical transport.
