Fujitsu among top five IT services providers in Hong Kong

Fujitsu shows strong track record in Hong Kong IT services market

Fujitsu Hong Kong Limited

Hong Kong, April 07, 2016

Fujitsu Hong Kong (Fujitsu) today announced the company has been named one of the top five IT services providers in Hong Kong by IDC's Asia/Pacific Semiannual Services Tracker for the first half of 2015. This marks the first time Fujitsu has emerged among the top five leading players in the market.

IDC's Asia/Pacific Semiannual Services Tracker is designed to help the IT community understand key drivers for the IT market and performance of service providers across the region. Developed using a rigorous methodology that takes into account market data and regular interviews with services providers on their latest business progress and delivery capabilities, the tracker provides a key benchmark for enterprises in their business planning.

As enterprises in Hong Kong increasingly gear up for digitalization and aim at shifting from CAPEX to OPEX for lower total cost of ownership, data center and cloud services have become key drivers of the IT market. Fujitsu has remained at the forefront of this transformation and set its focus on offering cloud and managed services solutions.

“Fujitsu is expanding its footprint in public sector with wins of significant contracts from the Government recently,” said Liew Siew Choon, Senior Market Analyst, Services Research, IDC Asia/Pacific. “These wins are strengthening its position in Hong Kong IT services market and also showcasing its success in shifting focuses from traditional IT solutions to cloud and data center services.” In late 2015, Fujitsu Hong Kong entered into a Standing Offer Agreement with the Government to provide data center services to its various bureaux and departments.

“This recognition from IDC is a testament to our strong track record in serving Hong Kong’s enterprises as their trusted partner in IT services,” said Albert Wong, General Manager, Service Delivery, Fujitsu Hong Kong. “Digital transformation is becoming a reality for many enterprises across various industries, and the need for scalable, resilient and cost-efficient IT services is only going to rise. We remain committed to helping enterprises build competitive advantages and drive sustainable business growth with our blended ICT solutions, whether it’s managed data center services, cloud services or industry applications.”
