Fujitsu Hong Kong Awarded Standing Offer Agreements to Supply Server System Solutions and IT Professional Services to the Government of HKSAR

Fujitsu Hong Kong Limited

Hong Kong, October 02, 2013

Fujitsu Hong Kong today announced that it has entered into Standing Offer Agreements (SOA) with the government of HKSAR on Total System Solutions for Server Systems (Category B)(1) and Quality Professional Services (SOA-QPS3 Service Category 2 and 3 Major Services Groups)(2). The agreement period for the SOA on Total System Solutions for Server Systems takes effect from 1 February 2013 for 36 months, while the SOA on Quality Professional Services is effective for 48 months from 31 July 2013.

The SOA for Total System Solutions for Server Systems includes the provision of servers, software, peripherals and storage subsystems. Under this SOA, Fujitsu Hong Kong is one of the shortlisted contractors for the provision of total solutions including the supply, delivery, installation, commissioning and maintenance of servers and related accessories, storage subsystems, basic software, peripherals, and related services such as setting up and configuration of the related hardware and software. Fujitsu will strive to provide various government bureaus and departments with an integrated systems solution that addresses their day-to-day IT operational needs.

Under the SOA-QPS3, Fujitsu Hong Kong can provide the government with IT professional services for on-going services (Service Category 2 – Major Service Group); implementation and combined system development services (Service Category 3 - Major Service Group) respectively.

The information age has significantly inflated citizen expectations for public services. From formulating electronic service delivery framework, to modernizing the legacy of the motor and licensing registration service, to supporting the ePOS infrastructure solutions for various government agencies around the world, Fujitsu has been the partner for the public sector in the last few decades.

"We are delighted to be awarded the SOAs, which enables us to support the Government," said Derek Yiu, General Manager, Solutions and Services Business at Fujitsu Hong Kong. "We are firmly committed to delivering greater value to the Government through our one stop shop approach, enabling government to obtain IT systems and services across departments."

Footnote:

(1) Total System Solutions for Server Systems is equivalent to Category B of the SOA for the Supply of Network Products and Server Systems and Related Services.

(2) Each of the Service Categories 2 and 3 are further divided into two different Service Groups, namely, Minor Service Group and Major Service Group. IT projects classified in Minor Service Group cover work assignment with value not exceeding HK$1.43 million while Major Service Groups cover work assignment with value over HK$1.43 million to HK$10 million.
