Fujitsu Introduces One of the First Pen Tablets with Windows CE H/PC 2000 - H/PC 2000-based PenCentra 200

Fujitsu Hong Kong Limited today introduces the PenCentra 200, one of the first pen tablets PC which runs on Microsoft® Windows® CE Handheld PC 2000 (H/PC 2000) operating system.

Fujitsu chooses this highly flexible operating system in order to extend the functionality of business applications for mobile professionals. Mobile workers in field applications can benefit from using the H/PC 2000 operating system that offers support for a wide range of other devices.

H/PC 2000 features a thin client application that provides access to any desktop application running on a Windows server using Terminal Services. The OS also includes Microsoft Internal Explorer 4.0-compatible browser, which provides greater Internet content and display functionality when viewing on the PenCentra's full-size VGA screen.

Weighing just two pounds and measuring only 8.9" (length) by 6.5" (width) by 1.3" (height), it is powered by a high-performance 129MHz Toshiba TX3922 MIPS RISC processor, 32MB standard RAM (upgradeable to 64MB) and 16MB of non-volatile flash memory for user storage. The 8" diagonal display is available in two versions: a frontlit color reflective SSTN VGA display with a liquid filled digitizer for a sharp display in sunlight, or a bright, backlit color transmissive DSTN VGA display for indoor needs.

Apart from PenCentra 200, Fujitsu offers a full range of Pen Tablet including Stylistic 3500, LT P-600. All models are now available at Fujitsu Hong Kong Limited.
