Fujitsu introduced the latest SPARC64™ X+ processor during the session “SPARC64™ X+: Fujitsu's New Generation Processor for UNIX servers”. The SPARC64™ X+ is Fujitsu's next level processor following SPARC64™ X and delivers improved CPU frequency as well as other newly implemented functional extensions.
The presentation focused on how the design of SPARC64™ X+ concentrated on driving performance improvements in both single-thread and chip-throughput. In addition; Software on Chip technology, processor chip overview, micro-architecture, system architecture, performance and power management for power saving, were also presented.
Toshio YoshidaEvery year at Hot Chips, Fujitsu introduces our advanced processor technologies implemented in the latest generation of SPARC64™. Fujitsu's processor development team also took the opportunity to reaffirm our commitment to continuously develop innovative and industry leading processors.
