Fujitsu introduced the latest SPARC64™ X+ processor during the session “SPARC64™ X+: Fujitsu's New Generation Processor for UNIX servers”. The SPARC64™ X+ is Fujitsu's next level processor following SPARC64™ X and delivers improved CPU frequency as well as other newly implemented functional extensions.
The presentation focused on how the design of SPARC64™ X+ concentrated on driving performance improvements in both single-thread and chip-throughput. In addition; Software on Chip technology, processor chip overview, micro-architecture, system architecture, performance and power management for power saving, were also presented.
Every year at Hot Chips, Fujitsu introduces our advanced processor technologies implemented in the latest generation of SPARC64™. Fujitsu's processor development team also took the opportunity to reaffirm our commitment to continuously develop innovative and industry leading processors.
