Fujitsu's Next Generation SPARC64 Processor Unveiled at Hot Chips 25
Fujitsu introduced the next generation SPARC64™ X+ processor at Hot Chips 25. The event is a world-renowned symposium for high performance chips and is sponsored by IEEE (The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, Inc.).

Fujitsu introduced the latest SPARC64™ X+ processor during the session “SPARC64™ X+: Fujitsu's New Generation Processor for UNIX servers”. The SPARC64™ X+ is Fujitsu's next level processor following SPARC64™ X and delivers improved CPU frequency as well as other newly implemented functional extensions.
The presentation focused on how the design of SPARC64™ X+ concentrated on driving performance improvements in both single-thread and chip-throughput. In addition; Software on Chip technology, processor chip overview, micro-architecture, system architecture, performance and power management for power saving, were also presented.
