Hot capacity expansion for Capacity on Demand capability
ETERNUS disk storage systems have full redundant configuration and hot-maintenance capability.
The use of multiple components, redundant drive components and multiple controller to drive connections, ensure exceptional reliability. Hardware components supporting hot swap and hot expansion features, not only enable firmware exchange during system operation, but also provide Capacity on Demand capability together with the LUN Expansion feature. This allows for on demand capacity expansion by the addition of DEs or HDDs as needed.
In addition, CM/CA hot expansion delivers improved performance and connectivity.
