In the business environment sharing storage for multiple tasks, sometimes enough I/O performance is not secured for mission critical tasks by resource contention.
Quality of Service Automation (*Note 1) automatically performs tuning such that the actual measured response time reaches the configured target value by configuring a target value for the response time in relation to the volume the task applications will be using.

Quality of Service Automation can place priority on mission critical task in the environment in which servers are virtualised and integrated onto single storage. Therefore, performance-critical tasks such as database are operated stably without any influence from I/O load change of other tasks. Quality of Service Automation ensures efficient usage of resources integrating different prioritised business data.
