Fujitsu Australia Limited

Sydney, November 17, 2010

Fujitsu, a leading provider of ICT business solutions, has announced today the availability of the Fujitsu fi-6110 document scanner - the latest addition to Fujitsu’s business scanner family. With its very compact design, the Fujitsu fi-6110 is one of the smallest and swiftest workgroup class document scanners in the market. It offers small businesses a powerful, easy to handle solution to capture different types of documents for use in various business applications. The Fujitsu fi-6110 succeeds the successful entry class fi-series model fi-5110C.

High-speed image capture
The Fujitsu fi-6110 is a duplex scanner with two cameras, which allow for scanning the front and back page of a document at the same time. The scanner has a loading capacity of 50 pages and easily handles up to 1000 documents per day at up to 300 dpi, grey scale as well as coloured. If required, higher resolutions are available. It processes document batches at speeds of 20 pages per minute or 40 images in duplex mode. Its paper path is extremely straight, and thanks to its ultrasonic multi-feed detection, the user is able to efficiently transform piles of paperwork into usable electronic data, without worrying about missing information.

Intelligent ease-of-use
The Fujitsu fi-6110 is equipped with TWAIN and ISIS drivers, which allows a neat integration to basically any professional ECM solution. Furthermore, the scanner is bundled with high value software such as Adobe Acrobat 9.0 Standard and ScandAll Pro and features a Fujitsu scanner Software Operator Panel for instant access to scanner hardware settings. The scanner also includes an Error Recovery Guide, which directly guides the user to the installed digital user manual, which offers multimedia supported advice.

Additional features of the scanner such as the pick roller or the separation pad are easily accessible and replaceable. Different scan profiles empower the user to activate a variety of advanced scanning options without having to bother with individual settings in the course of regular scanning tasks – including a bouquet of functionality like capturing mixed batches and transforming these into searchable text files or utilising bandwidth saving colour options. In an entry level device it facilitates automated image enhancement routines that remove blank pages, detect paper sizes, turn document images heads-up and even let the user scan A3 paper sizes.

Improved image quality
The Fujitsu fi-6110 works with CCD technology, which generates decisively better images by utilising quality lenses and provides a higher focal depth. As a result, the user can comfortably rely on the Fujitsu fi-6110's capability to create high quality images from a wide variety of documents.

Price and Availability
The Fujitsu fi-6110 is available immediately through our Australia and New Zealand distribution channels for a recommended retail price of AUD$899.00 (ex GST).
