Fujitsu secures IT services contract with WA Police

Fujitsu Australia Limited

Sydney, May 04, 2010

Fujitsu Australia and New Zealand, a leading provider of business, information technology and communications solutions has signed a new information technology contract with WA Police for the provision of IT strategic services.

The 3 year contract, with options to extend for another 2 years, is estimated at potentially $15 million. Under the terms of the new agreement, Fujitsu will provide Program, Project and Change Management as well as Business Analysis services to WA Police.

This new contract further demonstrates WA Police’s confidence in Fujitsu to drive the business improvement office process through WA police’s structure and to provide IT services to upkeep one of WA Police’s most business critical systems.

“WA Police are pleased to have Fujitsu as a key supplier of our IT services. Fujitsu once again proved through the rigorous tender process their ability and capacity to deliver against WA Police’s demanding requirements,” said A/Superintendent Bill Leonard, WA Police. “Importantly, Fujitsu’s services provide WA Police with the capability to scale up and down on demand and in alignment with our needs.”

Competing alongside a number of other vendors, Fujitsu was short listed following an intensive bidding process against other major ICT providers.

“We are delighted that WA Police continue to recognise the value Fujitsu can deliver through our extensive capacity, capability and experience of working with WA Police over many years,” said Robert Lislois, State Manager WA, Fujitsu Australia. “It’s an honour to further extend our long-standing relationship with WA Police through this contract.”
