Canon captures Fujitsu to further advance and simplify ICT solutions

Fujitsu Australia and New Zealand, a leading provider of business, information technology and communications solutions has secured a 40 month services agreement with Canon Australia to provide managed services to their Server, Desktop, Help Desk and other ICT operations.

Canon, a leading provider of professional and consumer imaging solutions has selected Fujitsu to manage a range of services for their corporate Information and Communication Technology (ICT) infrastructure support services for the 40 months, with a further option to extend the contract another two years.

The multi-million dollar deal was secured with Fujitsu following an intensive bidding process against a number of other major ICT providers.

"Fujitsu was selected to manage Canon ICT services for numerous reasons, but importantly as Canon Australia continues to grow, it's essential we partner with strong and successful organisations that can assist our business achieve our objectives," states Mr Kenji Kobayashi, Managing Director, Canon Australia. "As a complete end-to-end solutions provider, Fujitsu brings a very experienced and mature approach to ICT service management."

Competing alongside five other vendors, Fujitsu was short listed in December, soon after received a letter of intent, and signed the deal in March 2010.
