Fujitsu expands consulting practice with appointment of three directors

Fujitsu Australia Limited

Melbourne, November 24, 2005

Fujitsu Australia today announced the appointment of three new directors to Fujitsu Consulting, the consulting practice it formed in April 2005. Duncan MacCallum, Michael O’Byrne and Philippe Rosiere join Fujitsu during a period of growth for the organisation. These appointments bolster Fujitsu’s consulting capability in Victoria and Western Australia while strengthening Fujitsu’s expertise in verticals such as financial services, manufacturing and mining.

Martin North, General Manager, Fujitsu Consulting said, “We are building a significant industry-aligned consulting capability which connects corporate strategy, innovation, business transformation and IT enablement via our Macroscope toolkit. Our approach ensures certainty of outcomes for our clients who are primarily concerned with business programmes, some of which may have IT content. Duncan, Michael and Philippe’s experience in business strategy and transformation, as well as IT alignment, make them a great additional resource to our consulting team.”

Duncan MacCallum joins Fujitsu’s Melbourne office with more than 25 years experience in business and IT consulting. Most recently Duncan was a partner at Deloitte, where he gained 11 years experience working with large local and global clients including General Motors’ Holden, Brambles and Paperlinx. At Fujitsu, Duncan will work with clients in areas such as business/IT strategy alignment, IT effectiveness, process improvement and business process reengineering. He is also responsible for expanding Fujitsu’s capabilities in the areas of capital productivity and asset management, particularly within the commercial, resources and utilities sectors.

Also based in Melbourne, Michael O’Byrne joins Fujitsu from Accenture where he worked for more than ten years within its Strategy and Process Excellence Practice, prior to which he worked as an independent management consultant. Michael’s consulting experience is broad, having worked with clients in the insurance, wealth management, government, banking, utilities, telecommunications and not for profit sector. He has experience formulating and leading change within large, multi-channel customer service and back office environments and will focus on business strategy and improvement for Fujitsu clients within the financial services, wealth management and public sectors.

Finally, Philippe Rosiere joins the Perth office of Fujitsu with more than 20 years of international management and program management experience, both as a senior executive and management consultant within the private and public sectors. He has specific expertise in strategic business planning, business transformation and IT management and in leveraging emerging technology and business concepts to deliver actual organisational value. Philippe has consulted to various industries, including banking, government, mining, engineering and international public institutions, such as the European Union.
