Fujitsu Software Corporation today announced the next generation of its Interstage Suite, one of the world's broadest families of application infrastructure software products for designing, developing, and managing scalable, customised mission-critical applications.
The Interstage Suite, now available, offers groundbreaking new products and feature enhancements, which are designed to facilitate the management of processes and content, and support Web services.
Today, more than 8,000 enterprises, representing over 83,000 installations worldwide, have chosen the Interstage Suite of modular, flexible real-time software products. Customers include Toyota Motor Corporation, Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi, Ltd, Nippon Oil, the Medical Benefits Fund of Australia, Zenith Insurance Company, and iJet Travel Risk Management.
The modular Interstage Suite allows enterprises to choose the products that can have the most immediate impact on their business, often enabling businesses to achieve a measurable return on investment within weeks.
Core products of the Interstage Suite include the Interstage Application Server, Interstage Business Process Manager and Interstage Portal. The next generation of the suite adds significant new capabilities to Fujitsu's best-of-breed products for managing the processes and content that drive applications, including:
The modular Interstage Suite is extremely flexible, leveraging Fujitsu's contribution to all major standards bodies, such as those for Web-based standards SOAP, UDDI, ebXML, Java, XML, and XBRL, which are enabling Web services. "We are seeing that the organisations purchasing application infrastructure want to buy strategically - purchasing the specific components they need today with the option to add complementary products as their needs grow," said Robert Sepanloo, general manager of Interstage at Fujitsu Software Corporation. "Our new Interstage Suite delivers squarely on these demands with one of the broadest lines of best-of-breed application infrastructure products, all based on open standards. With our modular approach, our customers and partners can obtain uncompromising quality today and the flexibility to address the future." "Organisations are turning to application platform suites to provide common systems management, a common development tool and methodology, and a means for minimising systems integration," said Yefim Natis, Gartner Inc vice president and research director. "At the same time, they want the flexibility to buy incrementally, one piece at a time. Standards-based, modular suites address these demands by allowing IT organisations to purchase the products that meet their needs today, leverage their existing investments, and put into place a platform that can grow with their business."
The Interstage Suite is one of the world's broadest families of application infrastructure software products. The modular, flexible real-time software products allow enterprises, systems integrators, and independent software vendors (ISVs) to design, develop, deploy and manage customised mission-critical applications in a secure, reliable and scalable fashion. Using Interstage products, Fujitsu's partners have the capabilities to deliver applications that improve employee productivity, increase sales and profitability, and make their organisations more agile. The new Interstage Suite features robust products across the family's three functional layers: Interstage Integration, Interstage Development Tools, and Interstage Foundation. It features performance and ease-of-use enhancements across the entire Interstage Suite, the new Interstage XML Search and Interstage XBRL Processor products, and added functionality for the suite's proven Interstage Business Process Manager and Interstage Portal modules. The products that form the Interstage Suite are as follows.
