Fujitsu Australia and Vignette enter partnership to deliver more powerful e-Business and CRM solutions to customers

Fujitsu Australia Limited

Sydney, July 19, 2001

Fujitsu Australia Limited will offer Vignette-based technologies to customers following the signing of a partnership agreement this week with Vignette Corporation.

"This partnership strengthens Fujitsu's ability to support clients' e-Business and CRM initiatives by enhancing the online experience for their customers and partners."

- Suzanne Pattie, Fujitsu General Manager e-Business/CRM Solutions

The partnership agreement combines Fujitsu's e-Business consulting expertise, Vignette's world-leading enterprise content management applications, and the services necessary to design, build and operate enterprise content management solutions. "This partnership strengthens Fujitsu's ability to support clients' e-Business and CRM initiatives by enhancing the online experience for their customers and partners," Fujitsu General Manager e-Business/CRM Solutions Suzanne Pattie said.

"By incorporating Vignette's software suite into our enterprise content management solution, Fujitsu can take a Web site beyond online brochureware to a dynamic environment for content creation, management and delivery," Ms Pattie said. "We can design, build and operate an environment that delivers rich, timely content; integrates with other business systems; and measures the success of e-Business initiatives." Chris Mollo, National Channel Manager for Vignette in Australia added, "Fujitsu clearly recognises that creating and delivering customer-focused content is the key to establishing and maintaining customer relationships. The partnership will combine Fujitsu's excellent reputation for delivering e-services to Australian and New Zealand businesses with Vignette's leading integrated web content management solutions."
Initially, Fujitsu will educate 25 of its e-Business consultants and practitioners in Vignette's software suite and is already deploying Vignette to enhance its public web site, www.fujitsu.com.au with the view to extending the application of the technology to the redevelopment of its intranet.
Fujitsu and Vignette bring to the new partnership a proven track record of working together on the development and management of a dynamic new principal Web site for a large, Federal Government department.
