London, July 02, 2018 – Fujitsu has been named as a Leader in the 2018 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Data Centre Outsourcing (DCO) and Hybrid Infrastructure Managed Services (HIMS) in Europe1 – for the sixth consecutive year.
In its report published earlier this month, Gartner evaluates the abilities of service providers to deliver data centre and Hybrid IT managed services across Europe. According to Gartner: “Leaders perform skillfully. They have a clear vision of the market's direction and develop competencies to maintain their leadership. They shape the market, rather than follow it.”
Publication of the Gartner report coincides with Fujitsu’s enhanced focus on helping organisations to speed up their digital transformation. Fujitsu offers cloud services to support the migration of mission critical systems to the multi-cloud, and will realize the hybrid IT environments needed by customer businesses. Moreover, Fujitsu will also expand its collaborations with top-tier cloud vendors, and will strengthen its multi-cloud services to provide integration and operation of multiple cloud services, offering rapid build out and high quality operations of diverse ICT environments.
Conway Kosi, SVP, Head of Digital Technology Services, Fujitsu EMEIA, says: “We believe that achieving leadership positioning once again in this Gartner Magic Quadrant is a powerful independent validation of our true, consistent and long-standing leadership across Data Centre, Hybrid IT and multi-cloud management. In particular, we welcome Gartner’s findings that Fujitsu is a leader.
“Fujitsu also believes this recognition from Gartner is a demonstration of our excellence, not only in traditional Data Centre Outsourcing, but right across Hybrid Infrastructure,” adds Kosi. “This includes the migration to, management and integration of leading public and private platforms, as well as in managing cloud-native technologies, advanced networks and the network edge. Our view is that blending public cloud, private cloud and on-premises IT is the most fundamental component of success in digital transformation. The ability to succeed in cloud integration can determine the very success or failure of an entire organisation. We are also proud of our ability and track record in advising, co-creating and delivering end-to-end digital transformation together with our customers, addressing one of the most pressing business concerns for C-suite executives globally.”

Fujitsu employs thousands of experienced professionals globally to support its customers in Data Centre Outsourcing and Hybrid IT services and has transformed hundreds of data centres as well as thousands of IT systems, leveraging a blend of local knowledge, automation technologies and offshore efficiencies. In particular, Fujitsu demonstrates industry-leading expertise in designing, transforming and operating complex Hybrid IT estates, including on-premises and cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure and VMware vCloud.

Today, Fujitsu operates more than 160 data centres and more than 25 trusted cloud data centres spanning every region of the world and serving customers in all sectors and all major countries. The blended Fujitsu approach of offshore and onshore resources can be tailored in accordance with customer priorities to deliver benefits such as cost efficiencies, increased agility and risk reduction.
