Console PC | When using the remote storage function on console PC, a blue screen may be displayed. .
This occurs under the following conditions: (1)The OS installed in the console PC used for remote storage function is as follows. - Windows XP - Windows VISTA - Windows 7 - Windows Server 2003 - Windows Server 2003 R2 - Windows Server 2008 - Windows Server 2008 R2 (2)And, two USB devices are used as remote storage. This does not occur in the case of using only one USB device.: In the example below, the problem does not happen. - One is used for a USB device and the other for iso image. If Windows Vista or Windows Server 2008 is installed in on the console PC, this can be avoided by applying patch : "KB974711". Visit the Microsoft web site for more details. If the OS installed on the console PC is one of Windows XP/ Windows 7/ Windows Server 2003/ Windows Server 2003 R2/Windows Server 2008 R2, only use one USB device. PRIMEQUEST (Server) | If Service Pack 2 (SP2) is not applied, keyboard and mouse may not operate. Visit the Microsoft web site for detailed information.
Use of a Windows installation CD/DVD with integrated SP2, will prevent this problem. Therefore, use ServerVeiw Installation Manager (SVIM) to set up the following prior to installation. Set SP2 CD Settings to [install mode]: Set the "Guide mode" to [application] - [application wizard] - [Add-On Packages]: Ensure "MS Windows Server 2003 Service Pack 2 " is checked. Insert the SP2 CD as guided on screen. For any other settings, please proceed using the instructions in the SVIM user manual and as guided on screen. Settings: [install mode]: Select "Guide mode". [application] - [application wizard] - [Add-On Packages]: Check "MS Windows Server 2003 Service Pack 2". Please mount SP2 CD according to screen guidance. For other setting, please operate according to SVIM user manual and screen guidance. |
