On 23rd Sept., Oracle OpenWorld 2010 was successfully closed. Fujitsu supported this major IT industry event as a Marquee Sponsor.
Of the many sessions, demonstrations and exhibitions Fujitsu delivered, the most impressive was a keynote by Mr. Noriyuki Toyoki, Corporate Senior Vice President, Fujitsu Limited. Approx. 8,000 audience enjoyed his enthusiastic speech on Fujitsu’s technologies, innovations, and long-term productive partnership with Oracle.

Held on day two of Oracle OpenWorld2010, Mr. Toyoki’s keynote commenced with Fujitsu’s corporate message “Shaping tomorrow with you.” Here he introduced Fujitsu’s contributions to society as well as looked at the future of healthcare, disaster prevention, and the use of ICT and sensor technology in modern agricultural practice.

In reviewing Fujitsu SPARC64 history and use in combination with Oracle Solaris technology, Mr. Toyoki explained why SPARC64 and Solaris make the best partners for support of mission critical businesses of end users.



 

 

 

 

 

 

SPARC Enterprise strategy, and its roadmap were also introduced by Mr. Toyoki. At the end of the session, Mr. Toyoki and Mr. John Fowler, Executive Vice President, Systems, Oracle Corporation, pledged to further strengthen the partnership including ongoing joint development of even more powerful SPARC servers.
