Configuration of physical servers has never been easier, as Fujitsu has just announced the launch of the world’s first IaaS platform technology which allows on-demand physical servers to be configured to users’ needs in just ten minutes.
Why is this a breakthrough? Existing physical IaaS or physical server-hosting services require the service operator to manually install and configure servers based on customer requests, leading to a lag time of several days between when an order for new servers is made and the actual time the servers go online. Yet our new technology makes use of another Fujitsu Labs innovation called "Resource Pool Architecture", which enables the on-demand configuration of physical servers and ensures an instant response to customer orders.


This new technology is more responsive to changing workloads, equipping customers with the ability to quickly bring high-performance physical servers online and instantly change hardware configurations, enabling greater flexibility in changing server numbers or the performance of individual servers to respond to changes in application loads.
