Fujitsu Australia and New Zealand, a leading provider of business, information technology and communication solutions has today announced the appointment of Craig Baty, Executive General Manager of Marketing and Chief Technology Officer for Australia and New Zealand.
Reporting directly to CEO Rod Vawdrey, as part of Fujitsu Australia and New Zealand’s senior management team, Craig will be focused on understanding our customer’s challenges and key industry trends to ensure that Fujitsu solutions and offerings are well aligned to the market and customers requirements. He will provide thought leadership at industry events presenting Fujitsu’s view on the future of our industry and new ways to use information technology and services to drive competitive advantage.

Craig will also be responsible for executive management of Fujitsu’s marketing and market research functions, alliance partner management and analyst relations. He will also participate on Fujitsu’s global CTO community.

Craig brings to Fujitsu more than 30 years of IT industry experience. He most recently held the position of Global Vice President for Frost & Sullivan’s IT Practice & Head of ICT Research for Asia Pacific and Japan. In addition to driving the practice, Craig focused on business and marketing strategies for ICT providers, with a specific focus on market trends in Asia Pacific.
Previously, Craig was VP and Distinguished Analyst for Gartner’s Global IT Marketing and Channel Strategies research team and also held the positions in Gartner as Group VP Research Asia Pacific and Representative Director Gartner Japan. Prior to Gartner, Craig worked at BT/Syntegra, as the General Manager of Marketing, Planning & Alliances. Before that, he worked with Fujitsu in Australia & Japan in a variety of international marketing, sales support and technical roles.
Craig holds an MBA in International Business and Marketing (SGSM), is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Management and is currently pursuing an IT focused Doctor of Business Administration. He is also an active member of the AIIA NSW Committee, regular chair and speaker at the AIIA Marketing Forum and Chair of the NSW Exporters Club.
