Fujitsu appoints two women to senior management ranks

Reflecting the importance Managing Director Phil Kerrigan is placing on Marketing and e-Business, Fujitsu Australia Limited has made two senior appointments: Margaret Fairman has been appointed Executive General Manager, Marketing, while Suzanne Pattie has been appointed General Manager, e-Business.

Margaret Fairman has had a distinguished Marketing career having most recently worked for Employment National, a Government Business Enterprise set up by the Federal Government. From 1998 till this year, Ms Fairman headed up the Marketing department, where she set the direction and built the sales team, targeting the Government and Corporate sector. 160,000 people were placed in jobs in the first 18 months.

She also spent five years with Telstra in a number of senior marketing roles, culminating as Group General Manager, Marketing (Commercial and Consumer Business Division) with 250 people reporting to her. Ms Fairman was a member of the senior management team and played a key role in changing the culture and shaping the organisation for the deregulated market.

In her position as Executive General Manager, Marketing, at Fujitsu, Ms Fairman will lead a focussed and integrated marketing strategy, designed to elevate Fujitsu's profile and build greater awareness of the organisation's extensive e-Service capabilities.

Suzanne Pattie has a wealth of experience in the IT&T industries where she has held senior executive and international management positions. Prior to joining Fujitsu Ms Pattie was Executive Manager, Online Commerce for the Commonwealth Bank responsible for the strategy and delivery of e-commerce initiatives for the Bank's business customers and also Online Payments.

Before this she was the e-Commerce Marketing & Product Director, AT&T Asia Pacific, where she was responsible for the delivery of e-Business solutions for corporate enterprises in Australia and across the Asia Pacific region.

In her role as General Manager, e-Business, Ms Pattie has direct responsibility for the delivery of Fujitsu's e-Business strategy and initiatives for Fujitsu customers. She is also responsible for the development of short, medium and long-term e-Business strategies as part of Fujitsu's end-to-end e-services delivery.
