Fujitsu developed the 1FINITY™ optical networking platform to meet the need for a modular, disaggregated platform that can withstand the tests of time and continuous change. We realized that over-engineered, restrictive chassis-based systems are not adaptable, and took a, simpler, more agile approach to create an optical platform for the network digital transformation era.

An Open Platform of Modular, Disaggregated Blades

1FINITY is an open platform intended to be physically modular and disaggregated while being brought together, or “logically aggregated, under software control. This autonomous, programmable architecture enables the network to meet business needs first and foremost, rather than constraining network operators with restrictive, proprietary or outdated technology.

1FINITY comprises three series of compact, modular, stackable blades: Transport, Lambda, and Switching. These can be deployed in various combinations to provide exactly the capabilities and functions needed—in contrast to traditional converged platforms.

1FINITY P300 800G ZR/ZR+ coherent pluggable transceivers are the latest addition to the Fujitsu 1FINITY Ultra Optical System. These flexible coherent optical transport components enable new deployment options through pairing P300 transceivers with Fujitsu’s edge networking portfolio, 1FINITY T-series transponders, third-party routers, or line systems such as the 1FINITY L100, L900, and FLASHWAVE 9500.
