Fujitsu Malaysia Offers its EAI & BPM Solutions for Total Cost of Ownership ("TCO") Reduction

Fujitsu (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd, a member of the global group of Fujitsu companies, today announced that Fujitsu launched its latest release EAI ("Enterprise Application Integration") & BPM ("Business Process Management") solution offerings in order to realize drastic reduction in its customers TCO ("Total Cost of Ownership") for all the Malaysian market during Fujitsu’s Management Seminar which was held at Prince Hotel KL, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on 10 February 2004.

During the Management Seminar, Mr. Desmond Chan Tong Yap, President and C.E.O. of Fujitsu (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd emphasized in his welcome address, "As companies are facing stiffer competition from globalization and the advent of e-commerce, they are forced to look at new ways of improving and meeting customer demands, to gain a competitive advantage. However, less is known about the indirect costs of IT investments. Therefore, TCO reduction needs to get beyond the hype and start getting practical. That is why Fujitsu is introducing practical technologies and business enhancement processes that can better integrate the IT world into the world of Business."

In the core session of the seminar, a comprehensive overview of EAI & BPM solutions deployed via Fujitsu Interstage suite and Fujitsu IT Platform Technology in order to achieve customers business objective such as TCO reduction or ROI improvement was shared by subject matter experts, Mr. Peter Campbell and Mr. Paul Hendry from Fujitsu Asia Pacific.

"BPM and EAI allow organizations to build an ‘agile enterprise’ which can respond much more rapidly to market forces and regulatory changes. Fujitsu’s experience and Interstage make it an ideal partner to help organizations achieve these objectives.", said Campbell.

"Fujitsu's approach is based on reliability where the ultimate targets are to achieve Risk Reduction with lower TCO and to improve efficiency with maximum ROI", said Hendry.

"In administration, TCO reductions will come from solid, tested, replicable solutions. For ability to match changes in Business, flexible integrated building blocks will reduce time to market. For business profitability, TCO reductions should be measurable with standard tools", said Paul in his presentations.

At the same time, an ideal solution for unique data warehouse was also introduced by Ms. Saeko Awata from Fujitsu Limited. Interstage Shunsaku Data Manager (XML Search), a new and unique system for storing and searching large quantities of data directly without having the usual complications associated with a large database set up, management and tuning.

Fujitsu's approach is to introduce and provide comprehensive solutions that enable enterprises / organizations to enhance IT infrastructure at a reduced TCO. These solutions will enable customers to focus on swifter business growth and expansion, to maximize their ROI by assisting customers to achieve their maximum value.
