TIME and Fujitsu Join Forces to Be the First in Asia Pacific to Unveil a New Voice Service

Kuala Lumpur, October 14, 2003 Thumbs up!

TIME dotCom Berhad (TIME), Malaysia's preferred communications solutions provider, marked the award of a contract to Fujitsu (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd, to be the first in Asia Pacific to launch nevo, Malaysia's revolutionary new voice solution, at its TIME retail flagship in Bangsar earlier today. With nevo riding on TIME Broadband, TIME will be offering hosted PBX, IP Centrex, and voice VPNs to domestic enterprises over its newly integrated IP network.

With nevo's advanced features, customers can now experience the flexibility to receive voice call at any of their phone lines through either mobile or fixed line access. TIME is well positioned to offer telco grade, cost-effective and innovative services to its enterprise customers, thereby meeting pent-up demand and encouraging multi-national companies to select Malaysia as their regional operations domain.

"nevo is an innovative telephony service that offers new voice solution, giving customers feature rich services by riding on a single broadband connection for both voice and data. It is a next generation voice solution using IP Converged technology. As such, nevo will enable users to enjoy innovative services such as web control of services, unified messaging, remote office and simultaneous ringing ", commented Encik Mohd Fauzi Hj Omar, Chief Operating Officer/Senior Vice President of TT dotCom and TIME dotNet.

"Fujitsu, with its extensive experience in traditional switching and advanced IP area, was specially chosen to be our System Integration (SI) partner to provide consultancy, solution integration, training, technical support and total network deployment support to deliver a carrier-class service", added Encik Mohd Fauzi.

Joining forces with Fujitsu is a step forward in enabling additional ways for TIME to offer customers advanced mobility, personalisation and lots more for the deployment of its many enhanced services. It will also allow TIME to focus on its core competencies to improve operational efficiencies and deliver high-quality service to its customers.

"By deploying the BroadWorks® platform in nevo, TIME is well-positioned to reach its goal of becoming the preferred communications provider in Malaysia through their commitment to enhanced services, fiber-based infrastructure, and superior customer service. Together with our project partners, Fujitsu Asia Pte Ltd and BroadSoft, we strive to continuously support TIME in achieving its target", said Mr. Desmond Chan, President/CEO of Fujitsu Malaysia.

The pilot phase for nevo commenced in September 2003 and is expected to last between three to six months. TIME has identified several corporate accounts, Government office prospects and reseller networks to roll-out the product and is targeting primarily at the small and medium-sized businesses. For the time being, the pilot roll-out for nevo will be limited to only the Klang Valley area. However, future plans have been put forward to embark upon a national coverage to enable customers nationwide to experience TIME's new voice service. Also, should the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) decide to enforce workable open access standards, TIME will seize this excellent opportunity to have an even more ubiquitous coverage.
