Fujitsu Asia Extends BroadSoft IP Centrex to Wireless Devices

Singapore-based Fujitsu Asia Pte Ltd (Fujitsu Asia) and BroadSoft® (Broadsoft) announced an initiative to integrate Fujitsu Asia's cell phone access products with BroadSoft's flagship product, BroadWorks®. Fujitsu Asia will resell BroadWorks throughout the Asia-Pacific region to enable IP connectivity and access to corporate communication services via any cell phone device.

Users can now connect to Broadsoft's patented web-based portal, CommPilot ™, through a monile device, to access IP Centrex applications such as simultaneous ringing, remote office and configurable customer profile capabilities. With support for the full suite of user functions on the mobile phone, users will have anywhere, anytime connectivity, thereby increasing their productivity and effectiveness both in and out of the office. To serve more mobile workers, different mobile phone technologies will be supported using current industry-leading standards, including WAP, J2ME and SMS.

Fujitsu Asia has been an active reseller of BroadWorks to carriers in Asia including Singapore, Taiwan, Japan, Malaysia, Australia and New Zealand. A member of BroadSoft's third party developer program, Fujitsu Asia also supports BroadSoft-platform development through its technical support center in Singapore. In addition, Fujitsu Asia performs system integration, supports total network deployment, and provides ongoing technical assistance. The integration of the BraodWorks platform with cell phone access products furthur increases BroadSoft's presence in the Asian market.
