Kawasaki, Japan, June 21, 2010- Fujitsu Optical Components Limited (FOC) today announced that it will open an Asia business support center for its optical components products based in Shenzhen, China in addition to the existing facilities located in Sunnyvale, CA., USA and Milan, Italy. This new Asia business support center will begin operation on June 21. This strengthening of the global sales support network is expected to significantly expand its sales of optical components products worldwide.
In recent years, the business with customers in the Asian region (excluding Japan), has expanded rapidly (especially in China). The role of the Asian region as a manufacturing base for customers in Europe and USA has continued to increase. FOC has therefore decided to open a specialized support organization (Asia business support center) for its optical components products based in Shenzhen, China in addition to the existing facilities located in North America and Europe. This new Asia business support center will begin operation on June 21. This strengthening of the global sales support network is expected to provide valuable support for the customers and to significantly expand the sales of optical components products worldwide.
The organization dedicated to optical components products will provide marketing, sales promotion and technical support in the US, Europe and Asia (excluding Japan).
