PFU provides fi Series Web API, the software that enables users to use scanners through web applications and cloud services

Fujitsu Indonesia

Jakarta, Juni 06, 2019 – Fujitsu Indonesia the headquarter for Fujitsu scanner business in Indonesia, announced the expansion of its offering with the provision of fi Series Web API*1 (“Web API”) for developers and system integrators. This new API will allow users to scan with our market-leading FUJITSU Image Scanner fi Series*2 through a wide variety of web applications and cloud services.
System environments in business organizations have been dramatically changing as seen in the increasing number of web applications and cloud services used for business operation systems. This trend has brought increased demand to use scanners via users’ own web applications or cloud services. “Web API allows partners to easily develop programs with JavaScript. By directly connecting scanners to web applications or cloud services, the API contributes to improved user work efficiency in many industries from finance, insurance, healthcare, education to manufacturing,” said Managing Director Fujitsu Indonesia, Odi Susilo Handoko.
Various scanning-related operations such as adjusting scan settings, scanning and protecting data when uploading, can be added into the clients’ web applications, enabling them to complete all scanning work within their web applications. With this new API, not only is the amount of development required for customized systems significantly reduced, but user operations are also simplified and efficient.
