Vein recognition is secure because the authentication data exists inside the body and is therefore unable to be forged.

Throughout this program, Fujitsu encourages innovation among college students to develop innovative applications based on palm vein technology. To help the students start learning and exploring palm vein technology, Fujitsu will provide selected universities with a PalmSecure™ palm vein authentication system and technical guidance for application development.

Fujitsu will hold a competition for the most creative and innovative biometric application using the PalmSecure™ palm vein scanner. Winners will earn the opportunity to visit Fujitsu’s Research & Development or Production facility.

The PalmSecure™ Biometric Application Development Challenge program will start in early January 2013 for two months period of time.

This program is part of Fujitsu’s efforts to introduce its latest technology to the college students and Indonesian youth in general. By providing the youth generation with early access to the latest technology advancements, Fujitsu triggers their imagination and creativity to develop various applications that improve the standard of living and close the gap between technology and humanity in society.
