Fujitsu Reveals New Trends and Technology of Data Capture & Data Management

Industry thought leader Pam Doyle presents at "Fujitsu Document Solutions Day 2012" seminar and exhibition

Fujitsu, the leading provider of ICT-based business solutions, today presented new trends and technology in data capture & management in cloud and mobile era, at "Fujitsu Document Solutions Day 2012" seminar and exhibition event held at Grand Hyatt Hotel Jakarta. Speaking at the seminar was Fujitsu's thought leader in Enterprise Content Management (ECM) industry, Pam Doyle, Director, Imaging Products Group Spokesperson, Fujitsu Computer Products of America.

Recently, more organizations have adopted document and work flow management system to enhance business performance, particularly to trim costs, improve services to customers, to strengthen work collaboration and compliance against rules. With the system adoption, customer’s demand and business climate change rapidly, driven by the cloud trend and increasingly high mobility of the workers. In order to operate effectively and efficiently amid the dynamic situation, the organizations need to implement practices and latest technology in data capture and management.

Relevant to the rapid changes, Fujitsu Document Solutions Day 2012 today brought forward a theme "Exploring the Latest Trends in Data Capturing and Management." The seminar and exhibition was attended by the IT and business decision makers from banking sector, government and educational institutions. Through this event, they have the opportunity to add more knowledge about technology and solutions in data capture and management in line with cloud and mobility trends.

At the Fujitsu Document Solutions Day 2012, Pam Doyle, in her presentation titled "Worldwide Trends in Document Capture", she explained how cloud and mobility change the way an organization manages its data and content.

"Many organizations in Indonesia, particularly from banking, government and educational institutions have already implemented data capture and data management solutions for efficiency as well as cost saving reason. At the same time, cloud in Indonesia grows extensively, and so does mobility of knowledge worker, as mobile makes intensive penetration," said Achmad S. Sofwan, President Director of Fujitsu Indonesia. "The challenge will be on how the current data management system can work out with cloud and mobile trends to deliver optimum benefits for the organizations. Fujitsu and it’s partner have deep knowledge and extensive experience in helping organizations realize their business goals by implementing new technology of new data capture and data management."

In addition, a 2012 Fujitsu customer survey showed that the success indicators of a document scanning system projects were: response time and/or good customer service (68%), real saving from paper documentation cost (53%) and good quality of index (42%). Meanwhile, 49% of the respondents said they could meet the return of investment target by implementing scanning system for transaction process
