Malfunction on Contents Page of HTML Manuals

Due to changes in the functional specifications of Internet Explorer10 in Windows(R) 8, Microsoft(R) Windows Server(R) 2012, the following malfunctions have been observed when some HTML manuals on this site are displayed:

  • Cannot open the contents page in the left frame.
  • Cannot close the contents page in the left frame.

You can counter these problems by taking the action described below.

[Corrective Action]

  • 1) Start Internet Explorer from the desktop.
  • 2) Open the manual in which the problem occurs.
  • 3) Click the [Compatibility View] button on the address bar. (This button is displayed automatically when an incompatibility is detected. If it is not displayed, you can click the [Tools] menu, [Compatibility View] command.) At this point, the browser switches to Compatibility View, and the site where the manual is located is added to the list of sites under [Websites you've added to Compatibility View] in the [Compatibility View Settings] window.
