Tokyo and Kawasaki, September 12, 2017

Fujitsu Limited and Fujitsu Client Computing Limited today announced the release of two new enterprise workstations equipped with the Windows 10 Creators Update, the latest version of the Windows 10 operating system. The new models, the mid-range Fujitsu Workstation CELSIUS M770 and the CELSIUS R970 "2-Way" high performance workstation, are being rolled out in stages from late December in Japan.

In addition, Fujitsu will continue to offer versions of the two new models featuring Windows 7 Professional(1). By expanding product line performance, the Fujitsu Group is supporting customers' work efficiencies and improvement across a variety of industries.

Main Features of the New Products

1. CELSIUS M770 mid-range workstation

The CELSIUS M770 is a high performance mid-range workstation, featuring both the Windows 10 Creators Update and the latest Intel Xeon W processor, which can be used for a wide range of applications from pre- to post-processing for PC cluster systems to CAD applications.

Customers can select the system's graphics card from the latest models in the NVIDIA Quadro series, such as Quadro P5000, Quadro P4000, Quadro P2000, Quadro P600, and Quadro P400. For storage, the system adheres to the NVMe(2) standard, allowing the use of M.2 flash memory cards, which are smaller and faster than flash memory drives using the SATA interface.

Furthermore, internal connections that previously required cables, including the power supply, the motherboard, cooling fans and storage, have been made cable-less, improving maintenance tasks such as adding expansion cards and cleaning the interior of the system.

2. CELSIUS R970 "2-Way" high-performance workstation

The CELSIUS R970 features the Windows 10 Creators Update and two processors, in the standard build, from the Intel Xeon Scalable processor family which can be used for applications including large-scale CAD/CAE as well as structural and thermal analyses. Customers can also select Intel Xeon Gold processors in custom builds.

As with the CELSIUS M770, this model supports high speed M.2 flash memory cards and customers can choose the most appropriate graphics card from the latest models in the NVIDIA Quadro series.
