Fujitsu to Host Fujitsu Forum 2017

Theme set as Human Centric Innovation: Digital Co-creation

Fujitsu today announced that Fujitsu Forum 2017, the company's largest annual event, will be held May 18-19 at the Tokyo International Forum in Japan. This year's theme will be "Human Centric Innovation: Digital Co-creation."

Using the expertise and experience in and the knowledge of a variety of businesses it has developed over many years, Fujitsu hopes to engage in business collaborations in different industries and under different business conditions. In this forum, Fujitsu will introduce the digital transformations it can achieve with customers and partners, as well as the supporting ICT.

In recent years technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI) and the Internet of Things (IoT) have been put to use and have begun to transform business and lifestyles. In addition to this, coordination through data is giving rise to unprecedented new services and business models, which are expanding across national borders and between industries and business categories.

Fujitsu is now set to hold its Fujitsu Forum 2017, with the theme of "Human Centric Innovation: Digital Co-creation," in order to help customers transform their businesses and strengthen their management. In this forum, Fujitsu will introduce its co-creation initiatives aimed at enabling the digital transformations of customers and strategic partners, as well as its Fujitsu Digital Business Platform MetaArc, a digital business platform, featuring cutting-edge technologies in such areas as IoT, AI, security, and mobile capabilities. In addition, visitors can experience spaces designed to generate innovation, as part of Fujitsu's open innovation initiatives.

Overview of Fujitsu Forum 2017

1. Times and Dates

10 am - 6 pm on Thursday, May 18, and Friday, May 19, 2017

5. Seminars:

1) Keynotes and Presentations (9 in total)
Fujitsu will present its top executives, who will introduce the company's vision and direction, and welcome customers both in and outside of Japan, as well as partners who are leaders in the ICT industry and other notable figures who are scheduled to discuss the environment facing business and society in the future as well as the initiatives they are taking to address these changes.

2) Conferences (14 meetings in total)
These conferences will focus on four perspectives: the digital transformation of society and the economy, the digital transformation of business, transformation in ways of working, and the technology that supports the digital transformation. The forum will welcome experts, thought leaders, and representatives of companies and organizations that are leading Japan in respective fields to speak about the latest trends and specific case studies.

3) Seminars, workshops, hands-on programs, and off-site tours (50 in total)
Fujitsu will introduce solutions and initiatives to address a variety of issues facing customers, including customer case studies, to demonstrate how new ICT is put into practice. In addition, the forum also offers workshops where participants discuss timely topics or areas of common interest based on specific industries or business tasks, hands-on programs, as well as off-site tours of digital co-creation spaces and ICT experiences.

Note: Entry in to each seminar will be closed as soon as the maximum number of participants is reached.

6. Exhibitions (About 100 in total):

1) New businesses and societies through digital co-creation
Fujitsu believes that the connected value crossing company and industry boundaries brought about by digital transformation will continue to increase going forward. These exhibitions will introduce the digital transformations that are already beginning to be undertaken, while also offering examples of co-creation with customers, partners, and start-ups.

Manufacturing, retail, finance, local government, education, healthcare, urban infrastructure, agriculture, transforming the ways people work, sports, among others.

2) MetaArc's role in supporting the digital transformation
The MetaArc digital business platform incorporates cutting-edge ICT and experience developed with customers. It offers a total package, including IoT, AI, cloud, mobile solutions, and managed services, contributing to the creation of new value and to both optimizing existing systems and setting up new businesses by connecting the services of customers, partners and start-ups. This forum will give particular attention to the services, technologies and user case studies that showcase "Human Centric AI Zinrai" a Fujitsu core technology that works to accelerate digital transformation.

7. Digital experiences at the event

Fujitsu is offering a variety of digital experiences through the Fujitsu app for attendees to enjoy at Fujitsu Forum. Please check them at the event.

VR experience in the exhibition hall
Visitors can use VR on a 360-degree smartphone screen to see some of Fujitsu's initiatives and the content of some exhibits.

Experience fipick, a direct device-to-device communication technology
This forum will provide customers with a new digital experience by using a high-speed communication technology that does not require infrastructure, developed by Fujitsu Laboratories Ltd., to deliver presentation materials and exhibit and demo pamphlets, which were previously offered in paper form, to the visitor's devices in line with their location.
