Fujitsu to Host Fujitsu Forum 2015

Human Centric Innovation in Action

Fujitsu today announced that Fujitsu Forum 2015, the company's largest annual event, will be held May 14-15 at the Tokyo International Forum in Japan. The theme of this year's Fujitsu Forum will be Human Centric Innovation in Action.

By working with customers to build new ecosystems and realize innovation, Fujitsu seeks to create a prosperous future where people can live their lives in comfort and security. Fujitsu Forum 2015 will introduce new and effective ways to use ICT, including examples of Fujitsu's own internal deployments.

With rapid advances in digitalization and evolving technologies, the world is becoming ever more closely connected. In addition to enhancing people's lives and making them more convenient, this trend is bringing significant changes to business and the management environment, presenting new opportunities for companies to grow beyond the bounds of traditional frameworks.

On the other hand, there are also numerous challenges that threaten society's sustainability, such as issues related to food and energy supplies, urbanization, natural disasters, and economic disparity. In an effort to overcome these challenges, Fujitsu is leveraging the power of ICT.

This year marks Fujitsu's 80th anniversary and Fujitsu Forum 2015 will highlight its accelerated drive to create innovation in a new era with the theme - Human Centric Innovation in Action. Fujitsu Forum 2015 will feature a variety of seminars and exhibits to demonstrate new ways of using ICT, including with regard to IoT, Big Data, mobile and other digital technologies.

Overview of Fujitsu Forum 2015

  5. Seminars (English interpretation available for certain sessions)

    (1) Keynote and special presentations
    Top Fujitsu executives will introduce the company's vision and direction, while key industry leaders and ICT partners will discuss the environment facing business and society in the future, as well as activities being taken to promote innovation.

    (2) Conferences
    Focusing on nine important topics for 2015, experts, thought leaders, and representatives of companies and organizations with cutting-edge initiatives, will present on the latest trends using specific case studies.

    (3) Seminars, workshops, and hands-on programs
    Fujitsu will introduce solutions and initiatives to address a variety of challenges facing customers and will incorporate proven customer references that demonstrate how new ICT is put into practice. Other programs offer participants the chance to deliberate on timely topics or areas of common interest, based on specific industries or business tasks. There will also be interactive programs providing visitors with hands-on experiences.

    (4) One-on-one meetings
    The Forum will offer individual one-on-one meetings to collaborate on specific challenges customers are facing. Fujitsu will share concepts for new business opportunities or ways in which individual customers can develop solutions to overcome the respective challenge.

    Note: Entry in to each seminar will be closed when the maximum number of participants is reached.

  6. Exhibits (approximately 100 in total)

    (1) Business and Social Innovation
    Along with case studies highlighting the latest examples of ICT use, Fujitsu will showcase new initiatives for the era of IoT, where, in addition to people and data, a wide variety of things are connected, such as automobiles and electronics.
    - Revolutionizing Manufacturing, supply chain management, food and agriculture, transportation and vehicles, healthcare, smart energy, communities, education, social infrastructure

    (2) Big data
    Fujitsu will show products and services best suited for the variety of changes taking place through the real-world implementation of big data technologies.

    (3) Cloud
    Fujitsu will introduce cases studies and the latest technologies for hybrid cloud and multi-cloud integration deployments, which bring together a variety of cloud services and highly compatible platforms.
    - Hybrid cloud, digital business and digital platforms, software-defined networks

    (4) Security
    Fujitsu will present on its latest security technologies and best practices, refined through Fujitsu's own internal deployments.

    (5) Work Style Innovation
    Using expertise gathered by helping numerous customers implement innovations in the way they work, Fujitsu will demonstrate new ways of using ICT in the work place.
