Fujitsu to Host Fujitsu Forum 2014

Theme set as Human Centric Innovation

Fujitsu Limited

Tokyo, April 02, 2014

Fujitsu today announced that Fujitsu Forum 2014, the company's largest annual event, will be held May 15-16 at the Tokyo International Forum in Japan. The theme of this year's Fujitsu Forum will be "Human Centric Innovation."

The world is undergoing dramatic change as society and business are confronted by numerous challenges. Such challenges include changing market structures brought about by economic globalization, the aging of society, natural disaster preparation, and a rising global population that is putting pressure on supplies of food, water, resources and energy.

Amid these challenges, information and communication technology (ICT) continues to progress. ICT connects not just people, but also many different things to the Internet, and, with instantaneous analysis of the enormous volume of information that flows from these connections, it has become a valuable tool to garner insights for decision making. ICT holds the potential to generate innovation that can significantly transform the lives of people, industry, and society overall.

Fujitsu is harnessing the power of ICT to accelerate innovation that helps people, and contributes to solutions for a range of challenges experienced by customers and society. Fujitsu aims to help create a secure and prosperous future.

Fujitsu Forum 2014 will feature a variety of seminars and exhibits that demonstrate initiatives in which ICT is used in new ways, going beyond business and industry, to help build communities and enable people to lead comfortable lives. These initiatives focus on mobile, big data and other advances in ICT that support the transformation and growth of business; and on the cutting-edge products, services, and technologies that enable these changes to take place.
