Impulse Radio is Fujitsu's proprietary technology to generate millimeter-wave broad frequency spectrum at transceiver, without using the conventional frequency up-conversion method, simply by creating extremely short pulse for conveying incoming digital data. This technology is based on the results from R&D to realize millimeter-wavelength wireless transmission systems, conducted under contract from Japan's Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications.
