Fujitsu Introduces docomo STYLE series™ F-06D for Girls

Fujitsu today announced that its new docomo STYLE series F-06D for Girls mobile phone will be available in Japan from NTT DOCOMO, Inc. beginning January 13, 2012.

Developed in collaboration with nicola, a Japanese teen fashion magazine that is extremely popular among junior high school girls, F-06D for Girls has a cute design featuring polka dots and ribbons. It is a water-resistant mobile phone that is loaded with fun features. F-06D for Girls comes with a stylus that can be used with camera functions to decorate photos the user has taken. When the handset is shaken, new fortune-telling messages appear on the mobile phone's wallpaper. In addition, it comes preinstalled with Deco-mail pictograms® from fashion brands that are popular with junior high school girls as well as original content for decorating photos. Moreover, the original packaging of F-06D for Girls includes a tote bag that matches the design of the mobile phone.

Background

Even amid a rapidly expanding market for smartphones, there are a number of parents who prefer the flip-style cellular phone to a smartphone as the first mobile phone for their children in their early teens. To address concerns such as unsafe web surfing, and to meet a full range of customer needs catered to junior high school girls, Fujitsu developed the docomo STYLE series F-06D for Girls in collaboration with nicola, the enormously poplar teen fashion magazine.

F-06D for Girls, which has a cute design featuring polka dots and ribbons, is loaded with fun features. When the handset is shaken, new fortune-telling messages appear on the mobile phone's wallpaper. In addition, F-06D for Girls comes preinstalled with Deco-mail pictographs® from fashion brands that are popular with junior high school girls as well as original content for decorating photos.

It is also equipped with a variety of camera functions, such as an interior camera with a flash, which enables users to take bright self-portraits, and a photo decoration feature that allows users to have fun decorating photos by using the attached stylus.

In addition to being IPX5/8 water-resistant⁽¹⁾, F-06D for Girls is equipped with security features such as Parenting Mode, in which usage restrictions can be set for each function, and anticrime alarms linked with the "Imadoko" (translated as "Where Are You Now") Search user GPS tracking function, providing parents with the comfort needed when giving the mobile phones to their children.
