Showcasing Real-life Solutions for the Ubiquitous Networking Era

Fujitsu Limited

Tokyo, May 31, 2004

Fujitsu Limited today announced that it will hold its "Fujitsu Solution Forum 2004" over a three-day period from July 7 through July 9 at the Tokyo International Forum in Japan.

In addition to talks and seminars by experts both from within and outside Fujitsu focusing on this year's theme, "Experiencing the Ubiquitous Networking Future," Fujitsu will present its vision of how ubiquitous networking will transform society from a customer-centric perspective.

In recent years there has been very rapid development in the technologies that herald the dawn of the ubiquitous networking era, such as information, mobile and RFID technologies. As a result, the last several years have witnessed real changes in people's lifestyles and business approaches, as well as the way businesses are actually managed.

The focus of this year's Solution Forum will be on giving participants an actual feel of how ubiquitous networking will transform society. There will be nine keynote addresses and special addresses by Fujitsu executives and outside experts, 23 management seminars and 60 solutions seminars. There will also be an exhibit on the "Near Future of Ubiquitous Networking," where participants can experience for themselves the cutting-edge technologies that will transform society in the near future. It will include a variety of demonstration zones, showcasing real-life implementations in such settings as a shop, hospital and an office.

Fujitsu will also be exhibiting its latest cutting-edge products and technologies, including a prototype of its next-generation mission-critical Intel architecture server, which is being co-developed with Intel.
