Product Accessibility

Fsas Technologies is committed to accessibility.
We aim to provide products and services that are fully accessible to people with disabilities. When developing our solutions, we are guided by recognised international and national standards, including the requirements of U.S. Section 508, the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 at conformity levels A and AA and the European standard EN 301 549 - insofar as this is economically feasible.
Technology for data centres
As a technology provider for data centres, our products are primarily used in data centres. Fsas Technologies uses operating systems that offer comprehensive configuration options to support users with hearing, visual or mobility impairments. This enables a barrier-free user experience through functions such as:
- Magnifying the screen
- Adjustment of colour and contrast settings
- Navigation without mouse or screen
- Voice control and speech recognition for converting speech into text

Standards and Implementation

WCAG – ISO/IEC 40500:2012
The Web Content Accessibility Initiative (WAI) supports web designers and developers in the realisation of accessible digital content that meets the requirements of people with disabilities and age-related limitations. The underlying Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) define international standards to improve accessibility for all web content - including text, images, audio, video, web applications and software. Fsas Technologies has adopted the WCAG in the ISO/IEC 40500:2012 version as part of the Fujitsu GUI Next Plus (FGPN) Design Guide and implements these guidelines to the best of its ability in its web, software and documentation solutions.
EU Standard EN 301 549
The EU standard EN 301 549 was developed by the European Union with the EU mandate 376 and serves as the basis for an online toolkit for the procurement of IT products by public authorities.
Fsas Technologies can provide a conformance report for the EN 301 549 standard on request.

Product-specific accessibility conformance reports
Fsas Technologies uses the Voluntary Product Accessibility Template® (VPAT®) for documentation. This is a self-disclosure document created by the vendor or supplier that details how the functionality of the product fulfils accessibility requirements. This framework documents a product's compliance with the accessibility standards of Section 508 of the US Rehabilitation Act and the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines v2.0 or the European Union's EN 301 549 standard.
The Voluntary Product Accessibility Template® (VPAT®) was developed by the Information Technology Industry Council (ITIC). It is a tool that improves communication between industry customers on the ICT conformity of products and services with the relevant accessibility standards and guidelines. » Further information on VPAT® can be found on the ITIC website.
