At Fujitsu, we’re committed to using digital innovation to help create a culture of collaboration. We believe technology has the power to improve lives and help us all create a better, more sustainable future. That’s why we’ve aligned our own organization behind the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), ensuring our technologies are helping to address the societal challenges we face.
In support of that alignment, Fujitsu established a new Sustainability Management Committee to drive a sustainability-focused management approach, which takes into account environmental, societal and economic impacts as well as stakeholder interests, ensuring that the company prospers in the long term as a responsible global enterprise (outlined below).

In the UK, we’ve worked with the DVLA, the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency authority, to create a program of design thinking workshops for their employees, enabling them to participate fully in planning new generation customer services. Fujitsu’s approach to Sustainability is documented in detail in our published Sustainability Data Book 2021, which also shows some of key efforts to ensure that our responsibility as a corporation is measured for accountability.
Additional projects, aligned to our innovative approach to sustainability include a key environmental project that helped the local authorities in New South Wales in Australia to introduce drones that use AI technology to provide information on threatened species in remote areas. It’s another example of new-generation government services that are helping us find solutions for a more sustainable world and to keep our citizens safe in the environments in which they live.
