FUJITSU Workstation CELSIUS Takes Performance to the Next Level for 3D Graphics

Fujitsu Technology Solutions

Munich, September 10, 2013 Fujitsu today announces a new generation of CELSIUS models that take workstation computing and graphics performance to the next level. The company is introducing in addition to its standard graphics and GPU-computing solutions an innovative combination of passive and active cooling for NVIDIA GRID graphics virtualization cards and Intel Xeon Phi coprocessors. As a result, the new rack-mounted workstations deliver unprecedented new levels of performance, with multiple users connected simultaneously to a single workstation even for GPU-intensive demands such as 3D content modeling.

The workstation industry is mainly driven by graphics and software innovations, while over recent years graphics and software companies have increasingly enabled their products for virtualization of high-end 3D content. To fulfill these requirements, a new generation of workstations is needed. Fujitsu’s unique cooling system fits up to three NVIDIA GRID graphics virtualization cards in one CELSIUS R930, and each card is able to support serveral virtualized users.

The rack-mountable CELSIUS R930 also supports multiple Intel Xeon Phi coprocessors for High Performance Computing (HPC) applications.

Pricing and availability

The new FUJITSU Workstation CELSIUS R930 and refreshed CELSIUS M730 model are available in Europe, Middle East, Africa and India. They are sold directly and via Fujitsu channel partners. Prices vary according to region and configuration.
