Fujitsu Delivers ‘Make IT Dynamic’ Solutions for SMBs

Reduces investment risk by providing a one-stop-shop for integrated, pre-tested, scalable IT infrastructure

Munich, October 06, 2010

Fujitsu today announces the global launch of its ‘Make IT Dynamic’ initiative for small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs). Designed to offer easy-to-manage computing power to suit individual budgets, SMBs have more time and money available to focus on their top priority: better serving their customers.

‘Make IT Dynamic’ covers a choice of IT infrastructure building blocks based on reliable Fujitsu PRIMERGY x86 rack servers and ETERNUS DX disk storage systems, which offer the scalability to grow with the business requirements. These are linked to integrated, pre-tested solutions for EASY Virtualization, EASY SAN, EASY High Availability, and EASY Business Continuity.

An SMB’s IT needs to be flexible and powerful enough to cover a wide and ever-growing range of needs. From exceeding customer expectations, by enabling sales and keeping delivery times, to complying with legal requirements, such as data security, accounting and reporting. From meeting their own internal requirements, by better use of resources and reacting quickly to changing conditions, to exceeding the expectations of business partners, for example in supporting business processes.

Jens-Peter Seick, Senior Vice President Datacenter Systems Product Division at Fujitsu Technology Solutions , says: “SMBs need to optimize their IT landscapes to succeed. ‘Make IT Dynamic’ is designed using industry standard PRIMERGY rack servers and ETERNUS DX disk storage systems in building blocks, supplemented with valued solutions to help SMBs thrive and grow. Fujitsu’s ‘Make IT Dynamic’ building blocks are easy to implement, manage and maintain, and so SMBs do more with less.”

For example, a simple bottleneck in storage resources caused Austria’s Mammut Sports Group to decide to consolidate the company’s IT infrastructure platform and deploy the most advanced technology available to be able to meet current and future IT needs. Says Armin Duda, Managing Director: “We want to double our sales and we know that we can achieve that only if we make the necessary investments today in the technology we’ll need tomorrow. That’s why we turned to Fujitsu”.

With many of the ‘Make IT Dynamic’ solutions currently available around the world (prices vary by region), the initiative provides SMBs:

·          Simplified and cost-effective entry into the world of virtualization with EASY Virtualization

·          Ensures availability of data and services with EASY SAN (Storage Area Network)

·          Keeps businesses running and minimizes the impact of downtime with EASY High Availability and EASY Business Continuity
