Fujitsu rolls out new WebAccelerator to boost your Internet Communication Speed

Fujitsu Hong Kong Limited

Hong Kong, July 07, 2001

Fujitsu Hong Kong Limited today announced two new thin server-based web accelerators, PRIMERGY SJ10R and MJ10R, in the region. They are built to maximise the benefits provided by the latest versions of Novell's Internet Caching System (ICS), which stores frequently accessed Web pages and Internet content on local servers. The WebAccelerators help to improve browser response and reduce network traffic.

PRIMERGY WebAccelerator SJ10R/MJ10R

PRIMERGY WebAccelerator SJ10R and MJ10R can improve web response by 10-100 times when you need to boost your Internet Communication speed. They can cut your Internet bandwidth requirements in half. Since they speed information access, lower network telecommunication costs, and the caching ensures positive experiences for customers visiting e-business Web sites by accelerating the performance of that site's Web servers, thus, they are ideal for Internet and Intranet uses. PRIMERGY WebAccelerator SJ10R and MJ10R can be mass racked separately or in the same enclosures as other servers, in order to suit both large and small organisation environments.

The two caching appliances are based on the highly reliable and cool-running PRIMERGY server. Fujitsu offers a full range of servers to meet customer's needs. Workgroup Servers are suitable for customers who require a desk-side or rack-mounted server. Departmental Servers are designed for customers who desire for higher throughput, more reliability, and an abundance of hot-plug features. Enterprise Servers are ideal for business-to-business functions. Last but not the least, the Data Center Servers (8-way compute nodes) are designed for the fast growing market for database and server consolidation tasks. Fujitsu Hong Kong Limited has the flexibility to offer high quality service plans to meet customers' requirements.

Since server accessibility and network bandwidth needs increase, PRIMERGY WebAccelerator SJ10R and MJ10R together with PRIMERGY web servers, greatly improve web response times, lighten the load on the web servers, and free up bandwidth for other users, all these make the WebAccelerators become a backbone for the Internet technology.
