Job Title Application Architect
Responsibilities
  • Works collaboratively to addresses the conceptual/planning level of the technology in collaboration with other architects and subject matters experts
  • The application architect is the SME focused on designing application interfaces and software services to maximize reuse based on the business processes and governance rules for sharing
  • Provide guidance and coaching to Application Development team in the development of the application solutions
  • Ensures there are reusable standards, guidelines, patterns and frameworks for application development projects
  • Utilizes capability modeling to align collaboration strategy and planning with business strategy and goals
  • Oversees the documentation of all architecture design and analysis work
Requirements
  • Undergraduate degree in Information Technology or related discipline
  • 10+ years of experience in IT industry, in which 5+ years of experience as a technology leader with proven record(s) in practicing the associated application technologies
  • Prior work experience on large-scale project in government sector is highly preferred
  • Experience in software development and coding in various languages (Java, C#, Python, .NET etc.)
  • Knowledge of application design in OO programming, API, UML, Tiered architecture, Relational Databases and Web development
  • Experience in developing and implementing strategic IT technologies and related processes, procedures, and decision support
  • Excellent technical knowledge of up-to-date infrastructure systems and standards
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in both written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin)
