Apply this update to install the latest version of ScanSnap Manager.

Installation Instructions

If you perform the update online, the following procedure will not be necessary. Follow the instructions on the online update screen.

How to update

  1. Be sure you log into Windows® as a user with administrator privileges.
  2. Download "WinScanSnapV51L62UpWW.exe" onto your hard drive.
    Make sure you have enough free disk space (at least more than twice the download file size) for installing the programs.
  3. Quit any applications that are running on your computer.
  4. Power off or disconnect the ScanSnap scanner.
  5. Execute the downloaded "WinScanSnapV51L62UpWW.exe" file to start the update installation.
  6. Follow the instructions from the Installation Wizard to complete the installation.
    Select [Open] when the message, "xxxxx is an application downloaded from the Internet. Are you sure you want to open it?" displays during the installation.

How to check whether the update is successfully applied

  1. Right click the "S" mark in the task tray, select [Help] -> [About ScanSnap Manager] to display ScanSnap Manager Version Information.
  2. In the "About ScanSnap Manager" window, confirm that the version of ScanSnap Manager is "Version 5.1L62".

Now that you have completed the update, please refer to the PDF Readme file prior to use.


  • A Salesforce account is required to use Salesforce Chatter.
  • To use SugarSync, a SugarSync account is required, and SugarSync Manager must be installed in the PC.
  • To use Evernote, an Evernote account is required, and Evernote for Windows must be installed in the PC.
  • To use Dropbox, a Dropbox account is required, and the client software of the "Dropbox" must be installed in the PC.
  • To use the Scan to Mobile function, ScanSnap Connect Application must be installed in the iPhone / iPad / iPod touch from the App Store of Apple Inc. or in the Android mobile devices from "Google Play" ("HiMarket" in China).
