In light of the evolving workplace requirements, Fujitsu has announced the development of a compact and lightweight wearable ring-type device that offers handwriting-input functionality and a reader for near-field communications (NFC) tags. The ring-type wearable device can identify fingertip movements that users make as they write in the air, translating movements into notes as the wearable recognizes both numbers and words. Simply with one tap on the object with NFC tag, the operator will be provided with relevant information via the NFC tag reader.
