In addition, these models come standard with a fingerprint sensor, and custom-made models can be equipped with a smartcard reader for personal authentication. The Q555 can also be equipped with NFC (*8) readers for personal authentication as well.

II. A full range of notebook PCs with the security features needed for safe mobile computing

(1) LIFEBOOK U745 - super-slim Ultrabook designed for business on the go
Despite standard equipment that includes an analog RGB port for use with conference projectors and a LAN port, this Ultrabook is approximately 19 mm thick and weighs roughly only 1.53 kg (*9). The keyboard has an approximately 1.7 mm stroke depth for a more comfortable typing experience and improved usability. It also has full support for the kind of features that are indispensable in business, and is designed so that the user can easily swap batteries or upgrade memory.

With a high-capacity battery, it can run for up to 19.6 hours, but with the addition of the optional battery unit in the modular-bay, it can run for up to an exceptional 30 hours without changing its outside dimensions, giving it the power to run for a solid day’s work with no need to bring the charger.

Moreover, despite its slim design, it is equipped with interfaces that include a VGA, HDMI, RJ-45 Ethernet port, and it is available with a super-multi dual-player drive in custom-made configurations. In addition, it can be built with a PalmSecure™ palm-vein sensor, smartcard or fingerprint sensor for personal authentication to offer the enhanced security that businesses expect together with excellent mobility.

LIFEBOOK S935
(3) LIFEBOOK AH555 – all-round with a wide 15.6” display and superior audio quality
LIFEBOOK AH555 is an all-round notebook for both work and play easy with joy. With its high-definition 15.6” FHD anti-glare LCD display and superior sound quality with RealTek SounzReal™ software, working and entrainment is always convenient. Both models in the LIFEBOOK T series allow the display to be rotated 180 degrees in either direction and come standard with a stylus so that they be used as a notebook computer for regular deskwork or as a tablet for presentations, making them adaptable to different scenarios in and out of the office.

(5) “Family Concept” shared design
The LIFEBOOK U745 and LIFEBOOK T725 have a shared “Family Concept” exterior design with the LIFEBOOK E series, and have integrated interface elements. In addition, accessories such as port replicators and AC adapters can be shared across the series. This means that offices with unassigned seating, conference rooms, or other shared spaces can avoid redundant accessories for different devices, and enables new devices to use existing accessories. This also makes it easier to use productivity-enhancing accessories without increasing administrative costs, giving users more freedom to choose the right tool for the job.

III. Full line of models with enhanced security features

(1) Secure and easy-to-use PalmSecure™ palm-vein sensors Two of the newly released tablets and four of the notebook computers come with a built-in fingerprint sensor (*12). The STYLISTIC Q775, LIFEBOOK U745, and LIFEBOOK S935 are also available with palm-vein sensors that allows users log in easily. Not only does this make it easy to prevent unauthorized access, authentication with palm-vein patterns is difficult to falsify and extremely accurate. Users can authenticate by simply waving their hands over a sensor quicker log in, and they will also be more receptive to its use as anyone can use this hygienic non-contact scanning technology.
