Fujitsu Computer Products of America, Inc. (FCPA), the leader in Document Imaging, is pleased to announce the addition of two new products to its industry leading workgroup scanner lineup, the FUJITSU fi-7140 and fi-7240 duplex document scanners. The fi-7140 and fi-7240 scanners are complementary to FCPA’s best-selling fi-7160 and fi-7260 scanners, using the same high-performance scanning engine while providing an affordable option. FCPA’s workgroup scanner family is designed for day-after-day, fast and efficient desktop scanning, helping organizations capture their most critical data for business intelligence.

The fi-7140 features a large 80-page capacity feeder and 40 ppm / 80 ipm speeds, perfect for scanning large batches of documents rapidly and with superior handling. With the fi-7140, organizations can scan various types of document sizes and thickness, including long documents and plastic and embossed cards. Ultrasonic sensors detect multi-feeds and paper jams reducing the need for employee intervention. Included with the scanner is Fujitsu’s PaperStream IP TWAIN driver and capture software, to quickly and radically clean up images for better OCR performance, metadata indexing, file naming and organizing.

The-fi-7240 has all of the same features and benefits of the fi-7140 but includes a flatbed option, perfect for odd sized or fragile documents.
