Fujitsu Middleware Integration Contest Recognizes Exceptional Customer Contribution in the Americas

Fujitsu America Inc.

December 14, 2017

Fujitsu America, Inc.Open a new window today announced that its InterstageOpen a new window® software business unit, along with a team from Fujitsu Canada’s Business Application Services (BAS) business unit, has received the Americas Region Award in the seventh annual Fujitsu Middleware Integration Competition. The contest, which is sponsored by Fujitsu Limited’s Middleware business unit, recognizes excellence in middleware integration throughout the Fujitsu Group. The team from the Americas region was chosen for a project it is currently undertaking with Revenu QuébecOpen a new window, a large provincial ministry that collects business and individual taxes. This award marks the second time that the Interstage software business unit has won the competition in its seven-year history.

In its remarks on the award, the selection committee stated: “This solution showcases Business Process Management, which is a strength for Fujitsu America, along with other key Fujitsu middleware technologies. It can be expected to develop new opportunities and to expand the North American software business.”

The initial scope of the project is to use the Fujitsu Digital Transformation Platform (DXP)1 as a development and production software platform for three new digital and collaborative case management applications that will be used by an initial 3,000 Revenu Quebec end users. Ultimately, the project is expected to result in more streamlined resolution of tax cases, improved customer outcomes and customer satisfaction, and improvement in internal morale among Revenu Quebec employees for delivering improved customer service.

The Fujitsu Digital Transformation Platform encompasses existing innovative, scalable technology components and Fujitsu intellectual property, while also featuring new cutting-edge components to support broad platform adoption such as REST application programming interfaces2, responsive graphical user interfaces and sophisticated data analytics for improved processes and workflows. Revenu Quebec is a long-time services customer of Fujitsu, and their selection of DXP is a testament to this existing customer relationship, as well as to the power and capabilities of this Fujitsu enterprise software platform.

Notes to editors
1. Fujitsu DXP integrates all the capabilities of case management, business process management, business rules and decision management, analytics, asynchronous agents, and a host of other capabilities needed to transform organizations.
2. Representational state transfer (REST) web services provide programming language-independent interoperability between computer systems on the Internet.
