Fujitsu Enhances Popular MEF-CECP Study Guide for Blueprint C

New Study Guide helps telecom industry professionals prepare for the MEF Carrier Ethernet Certified Professional (MEF-CECP) exam

Fujitsu Network Communications Inc.

Richardson, TX, November 17, 2015
Fujitsu , a leading provider of business, information technology, and communications solutions, announced the 3rd edition of its popular “MEF-CECP Study Guide for Carrier Ethernet Professionals.” This study guide has been updated and aligned with the new MEF-CECP Certification Blueprint C.  It assumes professionals have a basic understanding of Ethernet, but no prior knowledge of Carrier Ethernet is required.

The MEF-CECP is a globally recognized professional certification that focuses on Carrier Ethernet as a service delivery and wide area networking technology. The certification validates technical professional’s expertise, skills and knowledge of Carrier Ethernet-related technologies, services and applications. MEF-certified professionals are awarded an MEF certificate and are listed in the Directory of MEF Certified Professionals on the MEF’s web site. Fujitsu is one of a limited number of MEF accredited training providers, making it an internationally recognized authority on Carrier Ethernet education and preparation.

“The study guide begins with MEF service definitions and includes all the topics covered on the MEF-CECP exam, as well as the new MEF technical specifications (MEF 6.2, MEF 10.3 and MEF 45),” says Ralph Santitoro, MEF Distinguished Fellow, creator of MEF’s professional certification program, and head of the SDN/NFV services practice at Fujitsu Network Communications.  “Thousands of individuals have used the Fujitsu study guide to prepare for the MEF-CECP exam.”

Fujitsu offers MEF-CECP training options for every learning style.  In addition to the study guide, Fujitsu also offers a comprehensive five day MEF-CECP classroom training course and the MEF-CECP Exam Trainer App.  The app has over 200 multiple choice questions that emphasize learning over memorization.  Additionally an entry-level introduction to Carrier Ethernet is available for anyone with limited knowledge of computer networking or telecommunications.  This book is a prequel to the MEF-CECP Study Guide.

The “MEF-CECP Study Guide for Carrier Ethernet Professionals” is co-authored by Santitoro and Jon Kieffer, principal technical writer for Fujitsu. It is available from Amazon in print and Kindle™ formats. The training app is available for Apple® iOS (iPhone® and iPad®), Android smartphones and tablets and Windows®. And the “Introduction to Carrier Ethernet” overview is available from Amazon in print and Kindle™ formats.
