Event to focus on the rapid advances and widespread impact of Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies
Fujitsu Laboratories of America Inc.
From self-driving cars to home robots and intelligent assistants, AI is enabling a new breed of applications across diverse industries including healthcare, transportation and consumer goods. These systems and applications have the potential to not only dramatically change the economic lives and well-being of societies around the world, but forever alter the relationship between man and machine. Additionally, these advances in technologies will give rise to a new set of important issues around data privacy, governance and ethics. Topics discussed at the symposium will include knowledge-based systems, robotics, deep learning, man-machine interfaces, next-generation computer architectures, as well as the social, economic, and ethical impacts caused by the proliferation of intelligent systems.
“The availability of massive amounts of data coupled with advances in computing and control systems are driving a new resurgence in AI technologies”, said Yasunori Kimura, CEO of Fujitsu Laboratories of America. “We are pleased to host this symposium to discuss these new innovations and how they are reshaping the world around us.”
Speakers at the technology symposium include leaders from the industry and academia including Fujitsu, Baidu, Carnegie Mellon, Institute for the Future, MetaMind, Microsoft, ModBot, NASA Ames, NVIDIA, Savioke, Stanford and UC Berkeley.
